The federal government has approved a series of administrative changes in the bureaucracy, including appointments, transfers, study leave, reinstatement of officers and withdrawal of departmental penalties, according to notifications issued by the Establishment Division.
Muhammad Hassan Abdullah Malik, a Grade 19 officer of the Secretariat Group who was awaiting posting, has been assigned to the National Highway Authority (NHA).
Uzma Naz Satti, a section officer in the Defence Division, has been made an officer on special duty (OSD), while her study leave from Aug 13, 2026, to July 15, 2028, has also been approved.
The services of Faisal Iqbal, a Grade 18 audit officer posted in the Establishment Division, have been returned to his parent department, the Auditor General of Pakistan in Islamabad.
Syed Zawad Haider, who was awaiting posting in the Establishment Division, has been appointed as a section officer in the division.
The leave of Housing and Works Division Section Officer Ambreen Mazhar has been extended by another three months. The officer has been directed to report to the Establishment Division after the leave ends on Sept 30, 2026.
The earlier appointment of Muhammad Arif Tahseen as deputy secretary in the National Food Security Division has been cancelled, and he has instead been posted as deputy secretary in the Ministry of Human Rights.
The government has also withdrawn a departmental penalty imposed on Grade 18 Pakistan Administrative Service officer Noman Afzal Awan. The punishment included censure and withholding of one increment for two years.
The Establishment Division withdrew the penalty in light of an April 13, 2026, decision of the Federal Service Tribunal.
Suspended Section Officer Hammad Hassan has also been reinstated in service.
In another decision, Grade 17 Police Service officer Hamid Ehsan Warraich, who was serving with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division. His study leave has been approved until Aug 30, 2027.
Establishment Division Section Officer Nasreen Farhan has meanwhile been transferred to the Housing and Works Division.
The attachment of Grade 19 police officer SSP Sumaira Azam, currently posted in the Federal Investigation Agency, with the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority has also been extended until further orders.
The Establishment Division issued separate official notifications covering the appointments, transfers, leave arrangements, reinstatements and other administrative decisions.
