Three little girls die of measles in Khanewal

Eight children from the same family in Shukrowala village in District Khanewal have fallen victim to measles. Sadly, three of them have died while the remaining five were hospitalized, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

This tragic incident happened in the ancient small town of Bara Mil, located on the Jhang Road in Kabirwala Tehsil of Khanewal District.

The grieving family members said, "Our children are suffering from measles. We have already lost our own blood and are struggling to cope with this pain."

The deceased children have been identified as five-year-old Ruqaya, three-year-old Dua Fatima and three-year-old Khadija.

According to the family, the funeral prayers for the deceased children have been offered.

They immediately shifted remaining children suffering from the disease to Civil Hospital Kabirwala on their own.

However, two children were moved to children’s hospital Multan because their condition was critical.

According to the hospital sources, while the team of district administration and health department reached the affected area.

This devastating news has sent a heavy wave of fear and panic throughout the area.
