The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Thursday reported that its foreign exchange reserves increased to $14.58 billion as of December 5, 2025, reflecting a week-on-week rise of $12 million.
According to the central bank, net foreign reserves held by commercial banks stood at $5.03 billion, taking the country’s total liquid foreign exchange reserves to $19.61 billion.
The SBP further confirmed receiving SDR 914 million — approximately $1.2 billion — from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).
The central bank noted that this IMF disbursement will be reflected in the next weekly reserves report, covering the period ending December 12.
