After the government universities, the students of private universities will also get laptops under Chief Minister Laptop Scheme, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
It has been decided to provide laptops to students of private universities for the first time and the Punjab government has given approval to the project.
In the first phase, laptops will be provided to 10,000 students of private universities.
The Higher Education Department has started work on the project.
The laptop scheme was launched during the previous PML-N government.
The laptop scheme was closed during the PTI era.
The Maryam Nawaz government has revived the laptop scheme again.
