Two female schoolteachers were killed in firing by unidentified gunmen in Charsadda on Thursday morning, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to police, the accused opened fire on the schoolteachers in Parang Graveyard area while they were going to their school on foot.
As a result of the firing, one schoolteacher died on the spot while the other received bullet injuries and was taken to hospital where she succumbed her injuries.
The accused managed to escape from the scene after committing the double murder.
Both the schoolteachers belonged to Parang and were on their way to duty at Government High School Shah Pasand Kali.
The motive behind the twin murders was said to be a dispute over rejection of marriage proposal.
