In recent times, there’s been a flurry of new car launches and new auto manufacturers into the local auto sector. There were almost 15 new cars that launched in 2021 alone and the momentum does not seem to be slowing down as there are even more cars lined up for a launch this year.
With the recent picture leaks that show Suzuki swift being carried away for distribution, it looks like the 3rd Gen Suzuki Swift may do the honours of kicking off the car launches this year. Ever since the picture leaked, there are speculations, expectations, and discussions around what this premium hatchback may have to offer.
As for the launch, there is no official word yet, but a number of unofficial sources have confirmed that the booking is opening later this month.
The leaked picture does tell a lot about the exterior while providing fodder for speculation as to what specs and features can we expect.
There’s a lot of curiosity and discussion around what the interior will be like. Well, going by what the global variant looks like, we can expect an overall dark ambience with silver chrome accenting all around. The cylindrical gauges, LED scaled speed-o-meter, D-shaped steering with steering controls mounted give it that cockpit-like feel. You can also expect a 9-inch smart infotainment screen (iOS and Android friendly), a fancy push start button, 6 airbags (yes, six!), and comfortable seating.
The 3rd generation swift comes with a KB12, 1.2L engine which despite being a powerhouse offers a pretty good fuel average.
The price is another topic that frequently comes up in all the Swift-related discussions. However, since there is no official word on either the price or the features that will be adopted from the global variant, there’s not much that can be said about it.
