Pakistan’s national cricket team captain, Mohammad Rizwan has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to win the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, stressing the need for a positive mindset and hard work.
Speaking at the National Stadium Karachi’s renovation ceremony on Tuesday, Rizwan underlined the city’s strong track record for the national team, stating, “Karachi has always been a favorable venue in terms of results for Pakistan.”
He urged fans to remain optimistic about the team’s prospects, saying, “Do not fear setbacks; stay positive.”
Rizwan added, “Our nation is brave, and we must speak like champions.”
He reiterated Pakistan’s primary objective, declaring, “Our mindset is clear – we are determined to win the Champions Trophy.”
He assured that the team would put in maximum effort to achieve this goal.
Earlier, Rizwan was warmly received by workers and fans, who eagerly took selfies with the national skipper.
After the upgradation of Lahore’s Qaddafi Stadium for hosting the International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy, Karachi’s National Stadium is made ready for the purpose in just 120 days thanks to the hard work done by labourers round the clock and constant monitoring done by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Naqvi.
