A husband with the help of his father killed his wife for ‘honour’ with a sharp-edged weapon and fled away from the scene in Khairpur, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Sources said that the accused who was later identified as Hafeez Abro murdered her wife Muzammil with the assistance of his father Nisar.
Later, the relatives of the accused also escaped after vacating their houses.
Soon after the incident, a police team reached the crime spot and shifted the dead body of the woman to local hospital for autopsy.
The SSP Khairpur took notice of the incident and directed to use all available resources to apprehend the culprits.
Further investigation was underway.
