Lahore High Court has given 30 days to the committee formed by the government to review the matter in Faisalabad Jail land case, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on WednesdayIG Jails Mian Farooq Nazir submitted in his report that he was the jail superintendent in Faisalabad till 2000 and there was no land dispute regarding the land of Faisalabad Jail till 2000.
The land allotted to the father of the petitioner is on the front of Faisalabad Jail, IG Jail submitted.
If the possession of a part of the front of the jail is given to the petitioner, there will be no way to go to and from the jail, IG further submitted.
IG Jails submitted that now the government has formed a committee on the issue of 67 kanal allotted land.
The committee will review the land allotment and other matters as well, IG Jails submitted.
According to the petitioner, his father was allotted 67 kanals of land in 1964 for his war services but jail administration is not giving possession of the allotted land.
Court should order to give possession of the allotted land to the petitioner.
After hearing the position of the lawyers of the parties, the court adjourned the further hearing of the case till April 13.
