An under-custody accused, Usman Manzoor, died due to severe police torture in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to police sources, Wahdat Colony Police arrested two accused, Hamza and Usman, under Section 401 PPC, along with arms.
Later, the police also recovered a stolen motorcycle from their custody. The dead body of Usman was shifted to the hospital for an autopsy. Police also obtained evidence from the crime scene.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation Iqbal Town said that after completion of the inquiry real cause of the death will be determined. He said that police are also investigating the case, keeping in view all angles.
