Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Wednesday congratulated the Ministry of Law and Justice on winning the ‘Commonwealth Access to Justice Innovation Award 2026’.
The prime minister commended the drive for digital reforms and innovative steps aimed at access to justice, launched under the leadership of Minister for Law and Justice Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar and Secretary Law and Justice Raja Naeem Akbar, PM Office Media Wing said in a press release.
He observed that in the presence of all the members of the 56 Commonwealth countries, winning the prestigious award was a big success for the country at the global level.
He termed the honour as a result of the extraordinary efforts of the minister for law and his team.
The prime minister viewed the conferment of the award as an important global acknowledgement of Pakistan’s efforts related to the promotion of digital innovation for effective access to justice and the legal sector.
Such achievements enhance the country’s stature on the international stage and reflect the government’s commitment to bringing reforms to public institutions in line with the latest models, he added.
