Former Vice Chancellor of Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU), Dr Malik Muhammad Afzal Chan, passed away on Sunday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
Dr Afzal Chan was the founder of the Pharmacy Department at BZU and was widely respected as a former chairman, educationist, and scholar.
His contributions to higher education, particularly in the field of pharmacy, earned him recognition and respect across academic circles.
His funeral prayers will be offered on Monday at 1:00 pm at Jhok Wains, Bosan Road, Multan.
The news of his passing has cast a pall of gloom over Multan, with educators, students, and residents of the area expressing profound grief over the loss of a distinguished academic figure.
