Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) CM Sohail Afridi on Sunday vowed to go ahead with the rally in Karachi today, while, on the other hand, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah excused himself from meeting Afridi, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

KP CM, who reached Karachi from Hyderabad on Sunday morning, said that now when he had reached the city, the party would go ahead with the public gathering at Bagh-e-Jinnah.

In a video statement, he said that it took him over seven hours to reach Karachi from Hyderabad as he and the PTI workers, who were accompanying him, were put on deserted routes so that they could not reach their destination on time.

“The lust for power has made these people crazy,” Afridi said, adding that he saw people of Hyderabad and Karachi raise slogans in support of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan.

“We will head to the venue for the jalsa at 3:00 PM,” he announced.
