Paris Hilton has offered a rare and reassuring update on her longtime friend Britney Spears, as fans continue to voice growing concern over the pop icon’s recent behaviour.
The former Simple Life star addressed speculation while attending the WWD Style Awards in Santa Monica, California, where she spoke exclusively to Daily Mail about how Spears is doing and whether the pair have been in touch.
“She’s doing good,” Hilton said with a smile. “She’s doing really good.”
Hilton, 44, cut a glamorous figure at the event in an animal-print dress paired with a sheer black top, accessorized with sparkling diamond earrings.
Her blonde hair was swept up into a sleek high ponytail as she confidently brushed off concerns surrounding the Toxic singer’s wellbeing.
The heiress and Spears have been close friends since the early 2000s, forging a bond that has endured fame, controversy and personal turmoil. Over the years, Hilton has remained a vocal supporter of Spears, particularly following the end of the singer’s 13-year conservatorship in 2021.
Despite Hilton’s reassuring words, fans have continued to express alarm over Spears’ recent social media activity and public appearances. Online followers have pointed to erratic Instagram videos, cryptic captions about her sons, and unsettling clips involving knives and dishevelled surroundings as reasons for their concern.
Last October, Spears sparked further worry after being spotted driving erratically following a night out at an upscale Thousand Oaks restaurant. Witnesses claimed she appeared unsteady, knocked over glasses inside the venue, and later struggled as she exited before getting behind the wheel of her car despite objections from those around her.
Additional sightings in Los Angeles soon followed, including footage of Spears leaving a wine bar looking dishevelled while clutching a champagne flute.
Hilton, however, has consistently painted a different picture, frequently sharing upbeat updates about lunch and dinner dates with Spears in Malibu. The socialite has praised her friend’s resilience and strength, insisting she continues to thrive privately despite public scrutiny.
Spears has been equally effusive in her praise of Hilton, recently calling her a “stunning mom” and applauding her parenting. In December, the singer spent time with Hilton’s two young children — Phoenix, who turns three later this month, and daughter London, two — during a visit she later described in a now-deleted Instagram post.
