US President Donald Trump has said that the people of Iran are craving for freedom, which is unprecedented, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

In his message on Truth Social, Trump has said that the USA is ready to assist the Iranian protestors.

On the other hand, an American newspaper has claimed that the Trump administration has started mulling bombing non-military targets in Iran.

The paper has further written that in this connection, the US president has been given a briefing on carrying out strikes in Iran; however, Trump has not yet decided on attacking the country.

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian reacts

Reacting to the US president’s statement, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that the American designs to topple the present regime can never succeed.

He has said that the people of Iran are well aware of the efforts being made to destabilize Iran. “The US has always violated the international law and has committed crimes against humanity,” Pezeshkian has said, adding that the country is inciting a few protestors to rebellion.

The Iranian president has said that both the US and Israel are causing a damage to world peace and stability.

In another development, a man removed Iran’s flag from the country’s embassy in Central London.

However, later, the Iranian embassy posted a picture on X, showing that the flag had been hoisted again.

Hundreds of people were protesting outside the Iranian embassy when the incident happened.

Meanwhile, anti-government protests in Iran have spread.
