Pakistani singer Ali Zafar has brought cultural charm to the British countryside.
Taking to Instagram, the Jhoom hitmaker shared a lively clip of himself singing Balo Batiyaan, a song that was crowned the top music video of 2024 on YouTube’s End-of-Year list.
Captioning the video, he wrote: “Some Punjabi folk in the British countryside.”
Ali Zafar recreated the legendary Attaullah Khan Esakhelvi’s track last year, giving it a fresh twist with modern arrangements.
In the latest post, Ali is seen casually jamming to the tune, blending South Asian beats with the serene backdrop of rural Britain.
Fans quickly flooded the comments section, praising him for taking Punjabi folk music beyond borders.
Balo Batiyaan, re-released by Ali Zafar earlier this year, became an instant favorite for its catchy melody, vibrant visuals, and seamless fusion of traditional Punjabi flair with contemporary production.
Zafar began his career as a musician with the chart-topping single Channo in 2003, which catapulted him to fame across South Asia. He later ventured into acting, making his Bollywood debut in Tere Bin Laden (2010), and went on to star in several Indian and Pakistani films.
Known for his charismatic screen presence and soulful voice, he has released multiple albums and hit singles that blend pop, rock, Sufi, and Punjabi folk styles.
