A startling disclosure has emerged in the mysterious death of actress Humaira Asghar, whose decomposed body was discovered in her Karachi apartment a few days ago, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Friday.
The post-mortem report reveals that the actress passed away between 8 and 10 months ago. According to the medical findings, there were no signs of broken bones, ruling out any immediate evidence of physical trauma.
The report also notes that the flesh from the lower part of the body had completely decomposed, and the body was in the final stage of decomposition at the time of discovery. Traces of insects were also found on the corpse, further confirming the advanced state of decay.
To help determine the cause of death, pieces of Humaira’s shirt and strands of her hair have been sent for chemical analysis.
However, due to the severely decomposed condition of the body, the report states it is extremely difficult to confirm whether the actress was subjected to any form of assault.
The discovery of her remains in the Defence-area apartment sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many demanding a transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
The flat has reportedly been sealed by authorities as part of the ongoing probe. Police have taken the actress’s mobile phone into custody, and further forensic examinations are expected to provide more insight in the coming weeks.
