The Institute of Kidney Diseases, which is the only hospital in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the treatment of kidney-related diseases, is under fire for giving an admission date after four years to a kid patient, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
According to details, child patient Yasir was brought to the hospital for treatment, but after detecting the disease, the doctors gave him a date to visit the hospital after four years, i.e., November 13, 2030.
The hospital sources said that only one faculty member is available in the children's urology ward, so the next date is being given after a long period.
The parents of the ailing child have demanded that the government take notice of the situation.
According to the hospital administration, for certain pediatric surgeries, it is necessary to wait for the child to grow before proceeding; while routine operations are performed regularly, complex surgeries sometimes require a waiting period due to specific factors concerning the patient.
