As Humayun Saeed’s Love Guru makes headlines for smashing box office records, another cinema heavyweight, Fahad Mustafa, is stepping into a similar spotlight.
According to an entertainment portal, Fahad Mustafa revealed that he is currently working on two upcoming film projects, in which he will not only play the lead roles but also serve as producer.
The films are set to be released within the next two years under his production banner.
Fahad began his career with a string of acclaimed TV dramas, including Main Abdul Qadir Hoon, Ek Tamanna Lahasil Si, Daagh, Kankar, Dusri Biwi, and Veena. He rose to nationwide fame as the host of Jeeto Pakistan, one of the country’s most-watched game shows, which he has been anchoring since 2014.
He made a successful leap to the big screen with blockbuster films such as Na Maloom Afraad, Mah-e-Mir, Actor in Law – for which he won a Lux Style Award for Best Actor – Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, and Load Wedding.
In 2024, he returned to television with the hit drama Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, which further solidified his position as a versatile star in both TV and cinema.
Fahad’s announcement comes at a time when Humayun Saeed’s Love Guru is setting new benchmarks at the box office.
Love Guru outperformed the previous blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt, which earned Rs110 million in its first week. Love Guru raked in Rs120 million during the same period, setting a new benchmark for the Pakistani cinema.
The film’s total worldwide earnings have now reached a staggering Rs280 million, reflecting its strong appeal both at home and abroad.
With this latest achievement, Love Guru not only reinforces the box office pull of its stars but also signals renewed momentum for Pakistan’s film industry on the global stage.
