Three killed over women’s dispute in Peshawar

Three people, including a woman, were shot dead and two others received serious wounds in a firing incident between two rival groups in Peshawar on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The incident took place in the Tehkal Palusi area of Peshawar, where members of one group, Ahmad Suleman and others, opened fire on members of another group, Bilal Shah and Shah Zaib, due to a dispute between women over a marriage proposal.

The dead persons were later identified as Azeem Khan son of Rehman, Muzammil son of Tariq and a woman who was daughter of Sagheer Din.

Soon after receiving the report of the incident, DSP Town Circle Asif Sharif and SHO Tehkal Police Station Saddam Hussain, along with a heavy contingent of police, reached the site and transported the deceased and injured individuals to the hospital for autopsy.

Later, police arrested the culprits after several raids. Police also registered a case on behalf of heirs of the victims.
