Nawaz Sharif Thursday expressed sorrow over the helicopter crash in Muzaffarabad that claimed the lives of military personnel and the deadly vehicle fire in Murree that left 10 people dead.
In a statement posted on X, Nawaz said he was deeply saddened by the helicopter accident in Muzaffarabad and the martyrdom of all personnel on board.
"I am deeply saddened by the helicopter accident that took place in Muzaffarabad and the martyrdom of all the personnel on board," he said.
The PML-N leader extended his sympathies to the bereaved families and the armed forces, describing the deceased as brave sons of the nation who had rendered a great sacrifice.
"The nation pays tribute to the sacrifice of these brave sons of the motherland," he said.

Nawaz prayed for the departed personnel and asked Allah Almighty to grant them the highest ranks in Paradise and provide patience and strength to their families.
He also expressed grief over the tragic vehicle fire accident in Murree that resulted in the deaths of 10 people.
"My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of ten precious lives in the tragic car fire accident in Murree," he said.
The former prime minister conveyed his condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
Nawaz also prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased and for patience for their families during the difficult time.
