Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the appointment of parliamentary secretaries in several ministries and divisions, according to an official notification issued by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
Under the new appointments, Hafiz Mian Muhammad Noman has been designated as Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives.
Daniyal Ahmed has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary of the Establishment Division.
Meanwhile, Shaista Khan has been assigned responsibilities as Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of National Food Security and Research.
Akhtar Bibi has been appointed Parliamentary Secretary of the Board of Investment.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs formally notified the appointments, which take effect in accordance with the government's administrative procedures.
Parliamentary secretaries assist ministries and divisions in parliamentary business and serve as a liaison between lawmakers and the executive on legislative and policy matters.
