In a major headway, delegations of the PML-N and the PPP held a meeting in Gilgit on Thursday to discuss different formulas for the formation of a government in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) following the general elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Both delegations decided to convey suggestions for the formation of a government to their senior leadership.
The PPP delegation was of the view that the people of GB had given the mandate to their party.
Both sides concurred that decisions with respect to the formation of a government would be taken keeping in view democratic principles and people’s interests.
Nayyer Hussain Bokhari, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, PPP GB President Amjad Hussain Advocate were included in the PPP’s delegation, while the PML-N’s delegation comprised Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Amir Muqam and PML-N GB President Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman.
