Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced plans to stage protests inside and outside parliament throughout the federal budget session, while deciding against boycotting the proceedings.
The decision was taken during a joint parliamentary party meeting that lasted about four hours and was attended by PTI lawmakers.
Speaking after the meeting, PTI Chairman Gohar Ali Khan said the party had serious concerns regarding the treatment of the PTI founder and restrictions on meetings with him.
"There is serious concern regarding the treatment of the founder of PTI and arrangements for meetings with him," Gohar said.
He said the party's central demand was to ensure access to the PTI founder and secure his release.
"Our one-point agenda is the treatment of the founder of PTI and arranging meetings with him," he said.

Gohar said PTI lawmakers would continue participating in parliamentary proceedings while simultaneously protesting during the budget session.
"We have decided that we will protest vigorously inside and outside the assembly," he said.
According to party leaders, the parliamentary party unanimously decided not to boycott the budget session and instead use the forum to raise its concerns.
PTI announced that demonstrations would continue during every stage of the budget proceedings and that lawmakers would maintain pressure on the government over their demands.
Party leaders said they would continue to demand meetings with the PTI founder and his release, adding that the protest campaign would continue until those demands were addressed.
"We stood with the country and will continue to raise our voice through democratic means," Gohar said.
The federal budget is scheduled to be presented in parliament on Friday, with both the government and opposition preparing for a contentious debate over the country's economic direction and fiscal policies.
