The man whose car had hit PTI’s diehard worker Ali Bilal alias Zille Shah, eventually resulting in his death, has given a statement to the police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.
In his statement, Jahanzeb Nawaz said that he worked with a private company as a driver. “On March 8, I went to a restaurant along with my friends. As we were on our way, our car hit Zille Shah,” he said, adding, “Zille falls to the ground. We picked him up and initially took him to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) because it was near. But had to return from there due to rush of people.”
He explained that from there he and his friends headed to Services Hospital. “We carried him inside the hospital on a stretcher,” Jahanzeb said, adding, “But when doctors examined him, they told us that Zille had passed away.”
On hearing this, he added, he and his friends left the hospital and returned to their homes.
