Three members of a family including a man, his wife and two-year-old daughter died when roof of their house which was constructed with mud collapsed in Tirah Valley in Khyber District, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
Sources said that roof of the mud house collapsed due to heavy rain in the area the whole last night. Local residents reached the spot and recovered the dead bodies from the debris of the house on self-help basis.
Sources further revealed that the region received heavy snowfall after which severe cold wave gripped the area.
Earlier in February 2025, one foot of snow was recorded in Tirah Valley, while a woman was killed when the roof of her house caved in.
The roof of another house also collapsed but no fatalities were reported.
Likewise Shahrah-e-Kaghan and Shahrah-e-Resham had to be closed for traffic at different points due to heavy snow in Kaghan, Naran and Shogran.
Naran received three feet of snow, while Shogran two and Kaghan one foot of snow.
