A tragic case of alleged medical negligence has surfaced in Rawalpindi, where a mother of two lost her life following what her family claims was a wrong surgery at a private hospital, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Tuesday.

The doctor fled the hospital, leaving the body behind, after the second operation failed, according to the victim's family.

The deceased, a resident of Dhok Ratta, was taken to Saddar Private Hospital due to gallstone complications, her husband Usama Ishaq stated. Following a check-up, Dr. Azhar recommended surgery, and the family paid a hefty fee for the procedure.

After the operation, Dr. Azhar declared the surgery successful and advised discharge, but shortly after, the patient started bleeding heavily, according to relatives. As her condition worsened, the doctor suggested a second emergency operation.

Husband Usama Ishaq revealed that the doctor demanded 16 bottles of blood and 26 white cells before proceeding with the second operation. Tragically, during the second procedure, Faiz Khan passed away.

Following the patient’s death, Dr. Azhar allegedly fled the hospital, abandoning the body. Devastated and furious, the family took the matter to Cantt Police Station, demanding a case be registered.

"I have two small children. My wife was killed due to Dr. Azhar’s wrong operation. I want justice," said Usama Ishaq.

The victim’s family has urged Punjab Chief Minister and IG Punjab to take strict action against those responsible, calling for an immediate investigation into the incident.
