Rail traffic affected after Tezgam Express derails at Rohri

One bogie of Rawalpindi-bound Tezgam Express derailed at Rohri Railway Station on Tuesday morning suspending upcountry rail traffic, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Soon after the incident, Railway Rescue teams reached the spot and started rescue operation. The incident caused loss to Pakistan Railways up-track.

Due to the incidentm Bahauddin Zikriya Express was stopped at Begmanji Railway Station while Shah Hussain Express, Green Line Express and Farid Express were also stopped at different railway stations

Sources said that normal traffic was restored after repairing of railway track.

Earlier in January 2025, two coaches of the Shalimar Express derailed in Hyderabad.

A railway official confirmed that the train, traveling from Karachi to Punjab, experienced the mishap, causing two of its coaches to derail.

The up-track has been partially closed, and technical staff has been summoned to address the issue.

In another incident, Pakistan Railways goods train has derailed in Dina, a town of Jhelum.

According to Railways officials, the railway track has been closed for traffic as a result of the accident.

However, no casualties were reported in the accident. Rescue operations are underway to restore the railway track, railway officials said.
