The district administration has imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure — the law regulating the maintenance of public order — in the North Waziristan tribal district because of the existing law and order situation in the area, reported 24NewsHD TV  channel.

An order imposing Section 144, issued by North Waziristan Deputy Commissioner Yousuf Kareem, citing "public interest" and dated March 11, has taken effect for 30 days.

Under Section 144, the display of all types of weapons has been strictly prohibited, while authority letters allowing individuals to carry arms have been revoked.

The Deputy Commissioner has also ordered the immediate shutdown of all illegal Wi-Fi devices and unregistered SIM cards to curb unauthorized communications.

Authorities have warned that strict legal action will be taken against those violating these directives.
