Former cricketer Mohammad Yousuf has withdrawn from Pakistan’s tour of New Zealand due to his daughter’s illness.

Yousuf, who was recently appointed as the team’s batting consultant, made the decision to stay back for his family and has officially informed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of his withdrawal.

The PCB has decided not to appoint a replacement for Yousuf on the tour. Meanwhile, the Pakistan cricket team is set to depart for New Zealand on March 12, where they will play a series comprising five T20 Internationals and three One Day Internationals (ODIs).

Yousuf’s absence will be felt, as his expertise was expected to play a key role in fine-tuning Pakistan’s batting lineup for the crucial series. However, the team will proceed under the existing coaching staff as they prepare to face the Kiwis in their home conditions.
