Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice President Fawad Chaudhry has announced to challenge the decision of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on the dissident MNAs’ disqualification reference in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, giving a reaction to the ECP’s decision of rejecting the disqualification reference against the dissident parliamentarians, the PTI leader said they will file a reference against the Chief Election Commissioner in the Supreme Judicial Council too.
Fawad said the ECP’s decision was expected as the Election Commission has become a B-team of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N).
He expressed a strangeness about the commissioner’s decision of showing the PTI’s dissidents as a part of the party despite the fact that they are placing Nawaz Sharif’s photos in their constituencies. He said the ECP’s decision is not sensible.
