In a powerful display of patriotism and unity, a team of Pakistani mountaineers has set a national record by hoisting a 100-foot Pakistan Army flag alongside a 100-foot national flag on the vast plains of the Sarfanga Desert.
Led by Ayaz Shugri, Vice President of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, the mountaineering team included climbers from Gilgit, Skardu, and Punjab, with Saqib Rehman of Multan credited for achieving the national milestone. The team’s effort was dedicated to the martyrs and veterans of the Pakistan Armed Forces, expressing deep admiration for their sacrifices.
“This flag is a symbol of the dignity and pride of our military. It is an honour to raise it in their name,” said Saqib Rehman, whose remarks reflected the team’s unwavering solidarity with the Pakistan Army.
The symbolic gesture comes in the wake of a historic victory credited to both the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force, further amplifying the message of national resilience and unity.
“Our breath, our strength, all for the homeland,” echoed members of the team, as they paid tribute to the defenders of the nation, calling the armed forces the pride of every Pakistani heart.
