Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has disclosed that Pakistan Army Forces would have shot down 74 Indian warplanes during May 2025 standoff, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the Sindh Assembly on Monday, Murad Ali Shah said “Pakistan shot down eight Indian warplanes including Rafales in 52 minutes. There were 74 Indian planes in the air and Pakistan would have shot down all if it desired.”
CM Murad Ali Shah said Pakistani forces targeted 26 Indian military installations within hours of India's Operation Sindoor, describing the retaliatory strikes as a swift and decisive response to what he called Indian aggression.
He said Field Marshal Asim Munir had launched Operation Bunyan Marsoos in response to India's offensive, with Pakistani forces targeting air bases and military sites including Suratgarh, Sirsa, Nalia, Adampur, Bathinda, Srinagar, Udhampur, Barnala and Pathankot.
The chief minister said Pakistan destroyed storage facilities for India's BrahMos missile system and claimed that Shaheen missiles successfully took out India's S-400 air defence systems before returning safely.
"India mistook our desire for peace as weakness," he said and added "We taught them a lesson within hours."
Murad Ali Shah said Pakistan also conducted fifth-generation cyber warfare, jamming Indian command sites during the operation.
The chief minister added that Pakistan could have prolonged the conflict but chose restraint. He said the ceasefire came after US President Donald Trump contacted the Field Marshal, who consulted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. "We agreed because we are a peace-loving nation," he maintained.
He credited martyred former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto with giving Pakistan its missile technology and praised President Asif Ali Zardari for procuring the JF-17 Thunder jets and the Hangor submarine.
He called for a unanimous assembly resolution marking May 10 as the final day of what he termed Marka-e-Haq, saying united nations cannot be defeated.
Later, the Sindh Assembly passed a resolution honouring Pakistan's Armed Forces over last year's military standoff with India, as Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah delivered a detailed speech offering rich tributes the military.
The assembly session was held with Speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah in the chair.
