England-based UEFA-qualified coach Hamilton Jonathan visited Lahore on Monday, where he toured the Fame Football Academy in Model Town and conducted training sessions with local coaches and young players, 24NewsHD TV reported.
The UEFA Master Trainer was welcomed by the DFA Lahore President Zia Arif Dogar, while Muhammad Rashid, Muhammad Akram, and Sheikh Shuaib were also present on the occasion.
During the visit, Hamilton Jonathan delivered a special training lecture to local coaches, including Tajamal Khan, Mohsin Watoo, Afnan, and Muhammad Mudassar.
He also conducted hands-on training sessions for young footballers at the academy.
The visiting coach praised the facilities and said that although cricket dominates the sports landscape in Pakistan, there is significant untapped football talent in the country.
Jonathan said children between the ages of 8 and 12 should be systematically trained to develop football skills from an early stage.
He suggested that Pakistan’s football future could be bright if such initiatives continue consistently.
