The White House has invited several leading American business executives, including Elon Musk and Tim Cook, to join US President Donald Trump on his upcoming visit to China this week, Bloomberg reported.
According to the report, a White House official said that prominent financial and corporate leaders are expected to be part of the delegation.
These include Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon, Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, Citigroup CEO Jane Fraser, and Meta executive Dina Powell McCormick.
The delegation is expected to consist of more than a dozen top business figures accompanying the president, with hopes of advancing commercial agreements and purchase deals with Beijing.
The report also noted that related companies did not immediately comment on the matter.
Separately, it was reported that a US Air Force C-17 aircraft had already arrived in Beijing ahead of the presidential visit.
President Trump is scheduled to visit China from May 13 to 15, in what is being viewed as an effort to strengthen diplomatic and economic engagement despite complex relations between Washington and Beijing.
