Senator Irfan Siddiqui’s funeral will be held in Islamabad today

Funeral prayers of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Senator Irfan Siddiqui, who breathed his last Monday night, will be held in Islamabad today (Tuesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Namaz-e-Janaza of Senator Irfan Siddiqui will be offered at in Sector H-11 graveyard in Islamabad at 4:00 pm. 

Irfan Siddiqui had been under treatment at a private hospital in Islamabad due to illness for the last two weeks and breathed his last Monday night.

Senator Siddiqui, who served as the parliamentary leader of PML-N in the Senate, was widely respected across party lines for his intellect, composure, and longstanding service to public life.

A close associate and confidant of PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, Siddiqui played a significant role in shaping the party’s parliamentary strategy and political messaging. Known for his measured tone and commitment to democratic values, he was regarded as one of the party’s senior-most voices in the upper house.

Born in Lahore, Irfan Siddiqui was not only a seasoned politician but also a prominent columnist and educationist before entering politics. His thoughtful approach and deep understanding of Pakistan’s political landscape earned him recognition both within and outside his party.

Party leaders and lawmakers expressed deep sorrow over his passing, calling it “a great loss for the PML-N and the Senate.” Condolence messages poured in from political figures across the spectrum, praising his integrity, dedication, and contribution to national politics.
