Police nabbed a on-duty policeman and recovered a stolen motorcycle, arms, and ammunition from his custody in Karachi, 24NewsHD TV reported on Saturday.
According to the details, Anti-Vehicle Lifting Squad (AVLC) Gulberg showed outstanding performance and arrested the accused.
The AVLC Gulberg also seized a master key from his possession. The arrested policeman was identified as Veryam Khan son of Dino Magsi.
The policeman was performing his duties in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Police Station.
The accused was also identified through CCTV footage while committing criminal activities.
The accused was involved in selling the theft motorcycles to the drug-peddlers.
The policeman was arrested in a case regarding keeping illegal weapons. Seven criminal cases were registered against the policeman in different police stations.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amjad Ahmad Sheikh said, “Law is applied to every citizen and no one is above the law”.
