Goods Truck Owners Association of Balochistan has demanded of the government to help release hundreds of trucks, containers, and Mazda vehicles that are stranded at the Taftan border, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
A spokesman for the Goods Truck Owners Association said that hundreds of empty containers and trucks have been stranded at Taftan for the last few months.
The spokesman further said that a meeting was also held between the goods transporters and IG FC Balochistan, in which the IG assured them to resolve the issue.
He hoped that the Balochistan government would grant them permission to move their vehicles freely in the province.
The goods transporters also urged the Government of Pakistan and high officials to allow goods transporters who are standard in Taftan to return to their destination and native home.
Earlier on September 9, 2026, Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan (North), Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba, has assured the Transporters Association Balochistan of full cooperation in addressing the legitimate concerns and challenges faced by the transport sector across the province.
A delegation of the Transporters Association called on Major General Muhammad Atif Mujtaba and briefed him on a range of issues affecting transporters, including matters related to the smooth functioning of transport services in Balochistan. The delegation also shared its concerns and sought support in resolving challenges confronting the sector.
