A westerly weather system is likely to enter the country's upper regions on Saturday. The Meteorological Department states that the weather system could intensify further on September 14. Rain, strong winds, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms are expected in Azad Kashmir from September 12 to 17. Rain is expected in various areas, including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, Poonch, Bagh, Kotli, and Mirpur.
The weather monitoring department has warned of urban flooding in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Swat, Lahore, Faisalabad, and other areas from September 14 to 17. Risk of high flows in streams and nullahs of Dir, Chitral, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Kashmir, Murree, and Galyat due to heavy rainfall. Risk of landslides in the mountainous areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, Murree, Galyat, and Kashmir. Moreover, rain is expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Jhelum, Chakwal, Talagang, and Attock from September 12 to 17. Rain is likely in Lahore, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Multan, and other areas from September 14 to 17.
Rain, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms are likely in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from September 12 to 17. Downpour is expected in Peshawar, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Mardan, Bannu, and Waziristan and various parts of Gilgit-Baltistan from September 12 to 17.
However, the weather will remain hot and humid in most parts of Sindh. In Sindh, shower is expected in Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Mirpur Khas, Tharparkar, Thatta, and Badin from September 13 to 16. Hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of Balochistan; rain is likely in Zhob, Barkhan, and Musa Khel from September 13 to 16.
