When everything goes online, Pakistan Academy of Letters on Sunday also announced to arrange first online mushaira amid the pandemic coronavirus in the country.
Coronavirus has affected us all and members of the intelligentsia are not an exception. More than 100 poets and literary figures in and outside the country will participate in the mushaira.
Poets will present their poetry through video-link. Former Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) Iftikhar Arif will chair the mushaira. The event will be live telecast on Facebook Page of PAL also. The date will be announced later, PAL said.
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, National History and Literary Heritage Shafqat Mahmood will be the chief guest.
Chairman of Pakistan Academy of Letters Dr Yousuf Khushi announced this while addressing the poets and audience on the test transmission for International Online Mushaira. He said that online poetry could promote healthy literary activities.
