US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that if it was proved that China had supplied arms to Iran, then it would be a big problem for that country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
Speaking to the media at the White House, he said that he was not bothered about the outcome of negotiations.
He claimed that one thing was clear, and that was that the US had won the war against Iran. “We have destroyed the country's military might,” Trump said, adding, “Neither Iran has air force, nor navy.”
"We have eliminated their leadership. They are all dead," he boasted.
He said that the US wanted the Straight of Hormuz to open because there were several countries whose ships pass through that sea route.
Trump expressed the fear that there might be mines in the Straight of Hormuz. "However, we have the machinery. And we will remove those mines."
Both the US and Iran held negotiations in Islamabad, brokered by Pakistan, after weeks long military confrontation that saw losses on both sides apart from Israel.
