Angelina Jolie is preparing to leave Los Angeles behind and her legendary $24.5 million estate with it.
The Maria actress, 50, is reportedly planning to sell her historic Los Feliz mansion, once owned by director Cecil B DeMille, and relocate overseas once her youngest children, twins Knox and Vivienne, turn 18 next year, according to People.
Jolie, who shares six children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, never wanted to live in LA full-time but was bound by a custody arrangement following their lengthy divorce, finalised in December 2024. “She’ll be very happy when she’s able to leave Los Angeles,” a source said.
Purchased in 2017, the sprawling estate boasts six bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a library, lush gardens, a swimming pool, and a tea house, a true slice of Hollywood history. DeMille originally bought it in 1916 for less than $28,000, later expanding it by acquiring Charlie Chaplin’s former property next door.
The Oscar winner has her sights set on “several locations abroad” and plans to spend significant time in Cambodia and visit family across the globe.
Her move will place her among other big names, including Natalie Portman, Mark Wahlberg, and Sophie Turner, who have left Tinseltown in recent years.
News of Jolie’s planned exit comes amid personal changes, including daughter Shiloh, 19, moving in with her rumoured love interest, dancer Keoni Rose, and a recent trespassing scare near her property.
