Lahore district administration has rejected the workers convention request made by PTI on Tuesday, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to the Deputy Commissioner office press release, PTI cannot be allowed political activities due to security reasons, as PTI has selected a sensitive time for the workers convention. The political gatherings cannot be possible during Chelum of Imam Hussain, Urs of Data Darbar and Independence Day celebrations.
The District Administration contended that police and law enforcement agencies were busy in the security arrangements for Chehlum, Data Darbar Urs and Independence Day celebrations. The PTI wanted to hold a workers convention on 14th August and it was suppose to be held at Shahdara. The PTI had approached the High Court for permission to held the convention, and the court instructed Deputy Commissioner to take a decision on the PTI's request.
