Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar is scheduled to undertake a significant diplomatic tour, visiting the United Kingdom and Bangladesh later this month, 24NewsHD TV reported on Tuesday.
According to the details, Dar will first travel to the United Kingdom, where on August 17, he will participate in Pakistan Independence Day celebrations organized by the Pakistani community.
During his stay, he is scheduled to hold meetings with UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and Minister of State for South Asia Lord Hamish Faulkner.
Upon returning from London, Dar will attend the annual high-level Pakistan–China Strategic Dialogue in Islamabad.
The dialogue is expected to be attended by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, with discussions focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in strategic areas.
Following the conclusion of the dialogue, Dar will depart for Bangladesh on August 23–24.
In Dhaka, he will meet senior Bangladeshi leadership, including the adviser to the prime minister on foreign affairs, Touhid Hossain.
The meetings are expected to cover regional cooperation, trade, and diplomatic ties.
The Bangladesh visit was initially planned for 27-28 April but was postponed due to regional tensions following the Pulwama incident and Pak-India clashes.
