In connection with the National Management Course declared mandatory by the federal government for the promotion of government officers from Grade 20 to 21, the Establishment Division has nominated 46 officers of Grade 20 and equivalent for the 124th National Management Course scheduled at the National School of Public Policy, Lahore from January 5, 2026 to May 8, 2026.
The officers include Muhammad Umar Masood, Usman Ahmed Chaudhry, Muzammil Hussain, Adnan Arshad Aulakh, Muhammad Jahanzeb, Khalid Nazir Wattoo, Muzaffar Khan, Khawar Kamal, Sohail Ashraf, Muhammad Ayaz from the Pakistan Administrative Service. Imran Shaukat, Shaukat Abbas, Naeem Ahmed Sheikh, Captain (retd) Sajjad Hassan Khan Manj, Dr. Waqaruddin Syed, Sher Akbar, Tayyab Hafeez Cheema have been nominated from the Police Service.
Kashif Gulzar, Muhammad Khalid, Muhammad Usman, Akhlaq Ahmed, Syed Ahsan Mumtaz of the Secretariat Group, Irfan Shaukat and Ishtiaq Ahmed of the Foreign Service of Pakistan will also join the course.
While Shazia Abid, Shazia Memon, Hassan Brohi, Ijaz Ahmed Khan Yousafzai from the Inland Revenue Service, Azmat Tahira and Basit Maqsood Abbasi from the Pakistan Customs Service,
Ambrin Gul Shahid from the Information Group, Hussain Haider from the Commerce and Trade Group, Naveed Asghar Chaudhry and Munawar Hussain from the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, Mustafa Kamal, Zulfiqar Hussain and Ehsanullah from the Postal Group, Rafiullah from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Muhammad Zubair from the Senate Secretariat, Rafid Ahmed Malhi and Dr. Muhammad Sohail Anwar Chaudhry from the Punjab government, Muhammad Ali Shah, Muhammad Idrees Khan and Atta-ur-Rehman from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, Nasir Abbas Soomro and Muhammad Bachal Rahupoto from the Sindh government.
According to the Establishment Division, nomination for the course has been made mandatory under the Prime Minister's directive and the nominated officers will be relieved without delay for their training. According to the Establishment Division, participation in the course has been made mandatory for promotion.
And in case of failure, action may be taken against the concerned officer under the Civil Servants Promotion Rules 2019. The nominated officers will have to submit their latest annual medical reports to the National School of Public Policy before the commencement of the course. The course fee has been set at Rs 2.2 million per officer, in which the fees for federal groups and ex-cadre officers will be paid by the Establishment Division, while the fees for officers of provincial governments and autonomous bodies will be paid by the relevant departments.
