Following the NNCIA, officials from two government departments, the Islamabad Police and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have been accused of kidnapping a citizen and extorting a massive sum of money, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday.

According to sources, those allegedly involved include ASI Fakhar and Constable Zar Badshah of the Islamabad Police, along with an FIA official identified as Saadat.

The Police Station Noon, Islamabad, registered a case and arrested all three accused officials.

The suspects are accused of abducting a resident of Swat, Saadullah, who was travelling back to Swat from Rawalpindi after collecting gold jewellery.

Sources said the officials allegedly kidnapped him, blindfolded him, and kept him moving in a vehicle for hours.

The FIR stated that the accused forcibly took Rs20 million in cash from the victim, kept him in unlawful detention and subjected him to physical torture.

The case has been lodged at the Noon Police Station, while senior police officials have reportedly ordered the FIR to be kept sealed.
