Prayer leader of a local mosque was shot dead by a man for sexually assaulting his nine-year-old nephew Mamoon Umar in Machiwal area of Vehari on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, Mamoon Umar informed his family members that Qari Mukhtar Ahmad. prayer leader of the mosque located in Chak No 561-EB, has sexually abused him for the last few days.
After listening to his nephew’s complaint, the uncle failed to control his rage and killed the prayer leader with six gunshots.
Soon after receiving the report of the incident, a police team led by DSP Vehari Ashraf Tabbasum reached police station Machiwal and started investigation.
Police team expressed the hope that they will apprehend the accused soon.
