The engine of Business Train, heading from Punjab to Karachi, got separated from seven bogies near Mehrabpur in Ghotki on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Passengers had to wait for hours as the railway employees started the repair work.
On Monday last, at least 10 wagons of a freight train derailed near Mehrabpur in Sindh’s Naushahro Feroze district, disrupting railway operations on a key route.
According to railway police, the accident occurred at Deparja Phatak, where ten wagons went off the track and five overturned.
The freight train was travelling from Karachi to Punjab at the time of the incident.
Railway authorities confirmed that both up and down tracks were affected, leading to the suspension of train movement in both directions.
As a result, several passenger and freight trains have been halted at different stations.
