The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday barred the University of Lahore from charging excessive fees from the students, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A citizen named Shehryar had moved the LHC against the decision taken by private medical colleges to charge excessive fees from students.
Justice Khalid Ishaq heard the petition.
The court also directed the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) to ensure implementation on the notification, which states that Rs1.8 million would be charged from each student annually.
