The Sindh government has launched a major recruitment drive, announcing more than 50,000 new government jobs across various departments after a gap of twelve years, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Thursday.
According to official details, recruitment has begun for positions ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 15. Appointments for Grade 1 to Grade 4 posts are being conducted at the local level, while recruitment for Grade 5 to Grade 15 is being carried out through IBA Sukkur as a third-party testing authority.
Under the recruitment process, candidates will first undergo a written test, followed by interviews, after which offer letters will be issued to successful applicants.
New recruitments have been initiated in a wide range of departments, including Information, Transport, Human Rights, Social Welfare, and Women's Development.
Hiring has also started in the School Education Department, College Education, Universities and Boards, and Minority Affairs.
Other departments where recruitment is underway include Livestock and Fisheries, Public Health Engineering, Local Government Commission, Provincial Election Authority, Irrigation, Labour and Manpower, Industries and Commerce, and the Chief Minister’s Inspection, Inquiry and Implementation Team.
The hiring drive further extends to the Home Department, Prisons, Agriculture, Price Control and Supply, Culture, Tourism and Archives, as well as Food, Health, Local Government, Housing, and Town Planning.
Recruitments have also been announced in the Excise and Taxation Department, Narcotics Control, Tax Inquiry, Anti-Corruption Establishment, Inter-Provincial Coordination, along with General Administration, Mines and Minerals, Special Persons, Environment, Energy, Works and Services, and other key provincial institutions.
All concerned departments have started publishing advertisements for vacant posts in newspapers, formally opening the application process.
